Mecha Kingdoms is a mythological, sci-fi universe, where the greatest heroes from warring kingdoms are entrusted with mysterious mechas to unite against a monstrous threat. Mecha Kingdoms aspires to be a refreshingly unique take on a common sci-fi fantasy (mechas) and is League's answer to a skin line that still celebrates our Chinese audience while having a global appeal.

MORE CONTEXT
Lunar Revel is an event centered around Lunar New Year in the Asian Lunar calendar. It has been celebrated within the League of Legends universe since 2012.
Mecha Kingdoms is a refreshing twist on the Lunar Revel event as a tribute to Chinese history and pop culture framed as a ‘Legendary Fantasy’. I created a brand that focused on the exciting dichotomy between Science fiction of the ‘Mechs’ meeting the ‘Legendary Fantasy’ of ancient China. With this in mind, we created a sci-fi inspired logo mark grounded within the worn look & feel of medieval China.
